Open Sew: Finish Your UFOs or Just Come Sew!

We all have UFOs. Those unfinished objects that could benefit from a little love and time. Maybe it's a quilt that needs binding, or its final touches, or maybe you've cut it all out and it needs stitching time.

This day is designed for those of us who have been thinking it's time now to revisit that project, say hello and thank you, and sew it into wholeness!

If you can, please bring your sewing machine and its respective components, thread, scissors, rotary cutters. We have 7 sewing machines on site, but we'd love for as many people as possible to be part of this day of sewing and community.

Very little formal instruction or guidance will be provided per se during our time together. This is a time that is meant for you to commit to that project that has been calling for a bit of your time.

Light snacks and drinks provided.

First Friday: Open Dialogue Photo Exhibit & Storytelling Experience

Denver-based photographer Bri Erger has spent the last 24 months weaving together a dialogue between strangers who have never met, creating a safe and intimate space for them to both ask and answer open-ended questions to an anonymous "other." Her photographs, taken during the moments when they are answering another's question, often reveal just as much of their humanity as their own questions and answers do.

Now, the Open Dialogue project is being shown for the first time in Denver through a lens that is equal parts photo exhibit, community gathering, and storytelling experience.
